Tucson, Arizona, is blessed to have year-round temperatures that are ideal for eating ice cream. Not only does the temperature encourage ice cream consumption, but the area also has an abundance of ice cream places, so make sure you check out three favorite spots.
BrushFire Ice Creamery
As part of the BrushFire BBQ Co., BrushFire Ice Creamery makes approximately 100 different varieties of ice cream and keeps about two dozen at this location. Some of the favorites include Salted Caramel, Pecan Pie, and Cookie Monster.
Cashew Cow
For something a little different, head over to Cashew Cow. This eatery serves handcrafted dairy-free ice cream made from cashews. These nuts contain just enough natural fat to compete with the dairy-rich traditional ice cream. They make about 14 different varieties with a majority of them serving as core flavors. The remaining flavors are seasonal and rotate frequently. Try the Maple Walnut or Kahlua Almond Fudge.
HUB Ice Cream Parlor
Found in downtown Tucson, HUB Ice Cream Parlor creates its dozens of flavors on-site, offering about 30 flavors weekly. They use natural ingredients and their own pasteurizer to turn the ice cream into a decadent and creamy dessert. Customers flock for the Cookies and Cream as well as the Queen Bee, which has toffee and dark chocolate pieces mixed into a vanilla base.
Don’t wait until your family starts chanting that they want some ice cream to head out to these must-visit spots. After all, who says you need a reason to eat ice cream?
